The beginning of EagleLine

The beginning of EagleLine

Kevin, who played golf in his junior days, often lost line tools and markers during rounds, causing him to miss short putts due to shaky freehand lines—he experienced such small frustrations many times. "Every time the same straight line, quickly, anywhere." This line became the starting point for his craftsmanship.

In 2020, he fully resumed development. After a series of prototypes and failures, including stamp types and mini-rollers, he integrated the marker and stencil to reach a structure that guides the pen tip with a rigid U-shaped track. As a result, a system was created that allows user to draw a uniform straight line in about 5 seconds with one hand, along with a practical combination of fast-drying refills and double seals.

In 2022, it was unveiled for the first time at the PGA Show in Orlando. To precisely gauge reactions, attendance was invitation-only with limited buyers, and they verified usage scenes and points of improvement one by one. Subsequently, patents were obtained in the United States (US 11,684,825 B2 / US 11,298,594 B1) and China (ZL 2020 2 3075599.5), and protection efforts are underway in Japan as well.

Kevin and Dennis are friends from Duke University in the United States. Upon reuniting, they formed a team and refined mass production design and user testing based in San Diego, California. While there are many generic products in the market that may look similar, their functionalities have not been updated. We prioritized "portable precision" and "high reproducibility routines," aiming for tools that stand apart through performance.

Why start in Japan? Because Japan has a culture of supportive purchasing, where early adopters gather on Makuake (makuake.com). Due to the rigorous standards for design accuracy and finishing, quality feedback quickly improves the product. Moreover, Japan has a strong demographic of professionals, competitive amateurs, weekend golfers, and beginners, enjoying golf as "everyone's sport." There is high interest in gear that leads to score improvement, and if something is good, it quickly becomes routine. The market is diverse in choices for accessories, gadgets, and functional small items, where aesthetics and practicality are valued. EagleLine's "portable precision" and "integrated in 5 seconds" resonate well with this culture. Ahead of the Makuake early launch in 2025 (scheduled for Q3 shipment), we will send a single discount code limited to the waiting list on the publication date.

Transform the “line” which is commonplace in professional settings into your 10-second routine. EagleLine is a small tool designed to carry the feel of practice right onto the course.
